The red, green, blue, and ivory baskets in the poster show the actual baskets in the exhibition space and function as a divider of space depending on each categories. The literal translation of exhibition title in Korean means ‘Goods, Collect, Market’, and the literal translation of museum title in Korean means ‘Bead, Collect, Pool hall’. I brought the idea from the titles of exhibition and museum-the actual titles of exhibition and museum in English are differ from the titles in Korean. A scene of animation in the moving poster, where beads are collected, reminds of the scence when goods are put into carts.

The big, long, small, and trapezoidal carts from the moving poster represent that many illustrators and customers come to market and participate in the exhibition. Carts and baskets are used for main graphic elements of poster. The posters reflect the concept of exhibition ‘Market’. The artworks and goods were compised of four categories: fruits and vegetables, marine products, fresh meat, and frozen food. The concept of exhibition was ‘Market’ in order to make the visitors feel familiar to the illustrations throught this concept. In the exhibition, it had displayed various artworks created by 35 illustrators. ‹Goods is Good› is an exhibition held by D project space from February 23 to September 1, 2019. Posters for a exhibition ‹Goods is good›, As well, the festival logo is labeled such as a fruit sticker, matching with the other visual elements. I represented it by using a cool gray color instead of using a warm color with soft snow. The background in the film is winter, which means reality. Twisting and deforming the watermelon pattern represent the conflicting feelings and a gap between the ideal and reality of the main character. The reason that I drew a big watermelon on the poster is that I thought the important factors in the most scenes appear metaphorically or directly through a watermelon. The film “A Winter Watermelon” tells a gap between ideal and reality of the main character through ‘a watermelon’. The posters in the event are aimed at excluding a commercial pressure and convention of film posters to represent freely the heart of the film by graphic designer. In this event, 100 graphic designers designed 100 film posters. It was made for an event “100 Films 100 Posters” of Jeonju international film festival.
